James P. Kaputa

James (Jim) P. Kaputa, 65, of Meadville, died Friday, August 28, 2015.

He was born July 24, 1950 in Meadville, a son of Michael C. and Anna M. Gasper Kaputa.

Jim had worked for five years at General Electric in Erie and subsequently was owner and operator of Jim’s Hauling.

He was a member of Vernon Central Volunteer Fire Department and in his younger years he enjoyed driving in stock car races and demolition derbies.

Survivors include two brothers, Michael Kaputa of Meadville and John A. Kaputa and his wife Barbara of Cochranton.

Services are private with interment in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
