James R. Mccracken

James R. McCracken, 84, of Meadville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born August 17, 1930 in Linesville, a son of Robert James McCracken and Margaretta Oates McCracken Lindsay and his step-father, Raymond Lindsay.  He married Anna M. Wensel July 29, 1967 and she preceded him in death August 30, 2006.

Jim worked at Ohio Rubber Company, Conneautville as a fork lift operator for 43 years, retiring in 1994.  A member of New Beginnings Church of God and former usher, he enjoyed attending and being a vendor with his wife at flea markets, being with and conversing with people, and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.

Survivors include five children, Jim McLane of Cleveland, NC, Karen Bonzo of Landis, NC, Lynn Craven and her husband Vern of Frewsburg, NY, Tracy Huff and her husband Stephen of Greenville, and Ray McCracken and his wife Lisa of Greenville; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Martha Adsit of Linesville.

In addition to his parents, step-father, and wife, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jaymie Lynn Huff; a great-granddaughter, Destiny Desiree Kuhn; and a sister, Arlene Rawson.

A private family memorial service will be Saturday, May 9th.
