James R. Willey

James R. Willey, 74, of Meadville, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the Crawford County Care Center.

He was born August 28, 1943 in Meadville, a son of Arlo and Betty Danforth Willey.  He married Karen A. Obagy in 1962 and she preceded him in death September 8, 2017.

Jim attended Townville High School and was owner and operator of Willey and Sons Trucking Company.

Survivors include three sons, Ora Willey and his wife Alisa of Meadville, Alan Willey and his wife Kimberly of Meadville, and Rick Willey and his wife Teresa of Townville; five grandchildren, Rachael, Megan, Justin, Taylor, and Eric Willey; two sisters, Beverly Decker of North Carolina and Linda Holobar of Meadville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Willey.

Calling hours will be Thursday, February 15th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.

The funeral service will be Friday, February 16th at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Glen Van Cise, Pastor of Chapmanville Community Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Lyona Cemetery.
