Jamie Lee Shartle

April 29, 1972 — August 16, 2023

Jamie Lee Shartle, 51 of Saegertown, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at home surrounded by his family. Jamie was born in Meadville on April 29, 1972 to Robert E. Shartle and Linda L. Bowman-Shartle. He was a 1990 graduate of Meadville High School and sold truck and trailer parts for several years at Sidley Mack, Southside Trailer, and Highway Equipment. Jamie worked as a dispatcher but then got his Class A CDL and pulled flatbed. He ultimately found his home driving dump truck locally for Wilkinson Excavating. Jamie loved his family. His boys were his world. He devoted his time to supporting his three sons as they participated in trapshooting, football, wrestling, baseball, and cross country. He rarely missed a sporting event and when he did, it was for work. Along with being a loving father and husband, Jamie was an avid hunter. He especially loved going to bear camp with his dad during bear season. Jamie found joy in being outside whether he was hunting, riding quads, camping, or sitting on the front steps talking with his family while looking up at the sky. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, step-father, and step-grandfather. Jamie is survived by his wife Donna (Rawlings) Shartle; his sons: Aaron; Nate; and Matthew Shartle all of Saegertown, step-children: Evan (Megan) Glesk of Rostraver; Shenandoah (Camron) Frederick of Greensburg; Seneca (Ryan) Respet of Trafford; Shelby (Ryan) Ilich of Greensburg; and Montana Glesk of Saegertown, step-grandchildren: Michaela; Kristopher; Nevaeh; Miranda; Liam; Adley; Trent; Lorelai; Perseus; and Asa, his parents: Bob (Brenda) Shartle of Meadville; and Linda Shartle of Geneva, siblings: Bronson Shartle of Geneva; Makayla (Fianc Trevor) Shartle of Meadville; and Tristan Shartle of Meadville. Jamie is also survived by his best bud Johnse, a beagle-bluetick hound that was meant to be his son Matthews dog, but Johnse chose Jamie as his furever friend. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ed & Donna Shartle and Jim & Marie Bowman. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to ROBERT W.
