Jane D. Harmon

Jane D. Harmon, 86, of Conneaut Lake, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 at Meadville Medical Center. She was born July 9, 1930 in Braddock, PA, a daughter of Clarence V. and Margaret Bryan Dopler. She married Richard J. Harmon June 21, 1952 and he preceded her in death March 25, 2014. Jane was a 1948 graduate of Braddock High School. A homemaker, she had also worked at Mellon Bank in Braddock, Southwest Bank in Murraysville, and the Crawford County Trust Company in Meadville. Jane was a member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Roman Catholic Church in Conneaut Lake and its Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed reading, playing cards and games, birdwatching, and bowling but especially spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, David R. Harmon and his wife Bridget of Erie and Michael Dickson Harmon of Conneaut Lake; five grandchildren, Eli, Jake, Abby, Annie, and Emma Harmon; a sister, Catharine Dunne of Edison, NJ and formerly of Sebastian, FL; a brother, Bryan G. Dopler and his wife Lilo of Pittsburgh; and nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at WAID-COLEMAN FUNERAL HOME, 12422 CONNEAUT LAKE RD., CONNEAUT LAKE with a Rosary service at 4:00 p.m. and a Vigil Prayer service at 6:50 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church, 155 S. Ninth St., Conneaut Lake with Fr. Jeffrey Lucas as Celebrant. Interment will be in Our Lady Queen of the Americas Cemetery.
