Jane M (Lewis) Peterson

Jane M. Peterson, 78, of Meadville died Friday, February 2, 2018 at UPMC Hamot, Erie following a short illness.

She was born in Meadville November 22, 1939 a daughter of Raymond and Katherine Grieb Lewis.  She married Edward F. Peterson March 7, 1987 and he survives.

She graduated from Houghton Academy, Houghton, NY and was a high school math teacher in New York until moving back to Meadville.  In her retirement she worked with her husband in property management.  She was an avid walker enjoying walking at the Downtown Mall and when the weather was nicer on the Ernst Trail.  She also enjoyed researching on the internet.  In her younger years, she also enjoyed singing.

She is survived by her husband Edward of Meadville and cousins, including Warren and Elizabeth Thomas of Emlenton, PA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Joanne R. Lewis.

Calling hours will be Monday from 4-6 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.  The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Houghton, NY.
