Janet Louise Prenatt

Janet Louise Prenatt, 56, of 22886 W. Oil Creek Road, Meadville, died Thursday, August 19, 2004 at the Hamot Medical Center, Erie, following an extended illness.

She was born in Meadville August 23, 1947 a daughter of William E. and Adeline (Tina) Davis Turner.  She married Thomas L. Prenatt May 22, 1971 and he survives.

She worked for 20 years at Avtex Fibers, then at Fisher Big Wheel and Central Tractor and most recently at the PA Photo ID Center.  She also served as East Mead Twp Auditor for 14 years.

She was a 1965 graduate of Meadville High School, was affiliated with Park Congregational Church and she enjoyed NASCAR and being with family and friends.

Survivors, in addition to her husband of 33 years, include: one son, Charles T. Prenatt of Meadville; her mother, Adeline (Tina) Turner of Meadville; one sister, Nancy Mangold and her husband Jon of Fairview, several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Bo.

She was preceded in death by her father, William E. Turner and her pet dog Corky.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA.

The funeral service will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. John F. Bargar, Pastor of Park Congregational Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
