Mrs. Janice M. Gandelot, 58, of East Mead Township, Meadville, widow of Arthur W. Hamilton and wife of Harold J. Gandelot, died Monday, May 14, 1984, at Spencer Hospital after an illness lasting several months.
She was born at Black Ash, Randolph Township, June 11, 1925, a daughter of George and Etta Baker Irons. She married her husband, October 25, 1975.
Mrs. Gandelot was emplopyed in the housekeeping department at Spencer Hospital and attended Lyona Bibel Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sandy Philbrick of Guys Mills and Mrs. James (Valerie) Grove of Guys Mills; a son, George A Hamilton of Meadville; three step-daughters, Linda Gandelot of Meadville, Mrs. John (Ruth) Burham of Conneautville, and Mrs. Dennis (Shirley) Gregory of Guys Mills; a stepson, Paul Gandelot of Cordigan, OH; a sister, Mrs. Charles (Anita) Rabbit of Chicora; a brother, Wendall Irons of Fairview; eight grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren.
In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
