Jean A. Hilson

Jean A. Hilson, 67, of Meadville, died Sunday, February 11, 2001 at Meadville Medical Center following an illness of several months.

She was born in Welland, Ontario Canada, December 21, 1933, a daughter of James and Pearl Vigir Doyle.

She was a graduate of Notre Dame Catholic High School in Welland, Ontario and was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church.  She retired in 1999 from Allegheny Tool and Mfg. as office manager after 20 years service.  She enjoyed flower gardening, playing cards and her granddaughters.

Survivors include two sons, John W. Hilson, Jr. (Wendy) of Meadville and James W. Hilson (Jennifer Gander) of Meadville; a daughter, Jill A. Kempf (Dwight) of Orefield, PA; four granddauaghters, Kaitlin Kempf, Alexandra Kempf, Marissa Hilson and Chloe Hilson; four brothers, Harold Doyle of Hamilton, Ont., Louis Doyle of Welland, Ont., Don Doyle of Welland, Ont. and Jim Doyle of Detroit, MI and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Pat Doyle and Cecil Doyle.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
