Jean Carter Grove, 82, of Vernon Township, died Monday, November 29, 2004, at her home.
She was born may 6, 1922, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Samuel C. and Jane Scott Carter. She married David Grove February 14, 1957, in Richmond, IN.
She was of the Christian Science faith.
Jean retired in 1980 after 25 years as a school teacher, having taught in Pittsburgh, Farrell and Harmonsburg.
She was a former member of PA State Education Assn and National Educators Assn.
Jean made many friends over the years with her pleasant personality. She has enjoyed her many pets, especially cats.
She is survived by two nephews, Gary Carter of Espyville and Richard Carter of Sacramento, CA and two nieces, Bonnie Butchko of Pittsburgh and Carol Sandborn of Las Vegas, NV.
In addition to her husband, who died in 1959, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Carter.
Services were held at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.
