Jean Dietl

July 30, 1903 — October 29, 1980

Mrs. Jean Dietl, 77, formerly of Youngstown, wife of Joseph Dietl of Meadville, died at Spencer Hospital Wednesday, October 29, 1980, after several years of failing health.

She was born in Utica, Venango County, July 30, 1903, daughter of William and Lula Shoemaker Deeter.  She married Dietl in 1932.

She was a member of Richard Brown Memorial Methodist Church, Youngstown, past president of the church United Methodist Women group, a former Sunday school teacher and former treasurer of the church Mothers Club.  She attended Venango County public schools and was a 1923 graduate of Cooperstown High School.

Survivors include her husband; two sisters, Mrs. Earl (Winifred) Wood of Franklin and Mrs. V. W. (Fran) Eiler of Meadville; two brothers, Claire L. Deeter of Gainesville, FL and Elwood B. Deeter of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
