Jean L. Rodgers

Jean L. Rodgers, 71, of Guys Mills, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born May 17, 1949 in Franklin, a daughter of Howard and Helen Slocum Hines.  She married Frank Wayne Rodgers August 17, 1973.

Jean was a 1968 graduate of Rocky Grove High School.  A homemaker, in her early years she worked at Wintronics in Meadville and later worked at Dave’s Place in Townville.

She attended Sugar Lake United Methodist Church and enjoyed crocheting and flower gardening.

Survivors, in addition to her husband Wayne, include two sons, Scott Rodgers (Rolanda) of Douglasville, GA and Frank Rodgers of Cambridge Springs; three grandchildren, Jessica, David (Jadyn) and Christopher Rodgers; a great-grandchild, Mateo; a sister, Joyce Dehner (Ray) of Oil City; two brothers, John Hines (Nancy) of Cooperstown and Mike Hines (Cathy) of Cooperstown; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Riordan and a brother, Butch Hines.

The memorial service will be Friday, June 18, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE with Rev. Frank J. Weingard, officiating.
