Jean M. Muir, 76, of Meadville, died unexpectedly at home, Sunday, February 23, 1997.
She was born in Corry, October 11, 1920, a daughter of the late George L. and Grace Bleakslee McKelvey. She married James F. Muir in 1967 and he preceded her in death May 31, 1991.
She was a graduate of Meadville public schools, attended Allegheny College, and received her B. A. degree from the University of Alabama. She had worked in advertising for WMGW radio station, as a legal secretary for Attorney George X. Simonetta and at one time for the Keystone Ordnance Works. She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church. She was also an avid reader and had a special interest in France, its language and fashion.
Survivors include a sister, Helen Ey of Camp Hill and a brother, David McKelvey of Erie.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
