Jean M. Talbot, 74, of Hartstown, died at home Thursday, April 28, 2011.
She was born October 11, 1936 in Greenville a daughter of Delbert B. and May E. McCleary Matteson. She had been married to Gerald L. Talbot.
She was a 1954 graduate of the former Pymatuning Joint High School in Jamestown and worked for 35 years as a teacher's aide in the Conneaut Lake Schools. She was a member of Hartstown Presbyterian Church and Rebekah Lodge #98. She was an avid collector of Boyds Bears and she enjoyed walking, riding her bicycle and going to the beach. She was also fondly known as the neighborhood cookie lady.
Survivors, include: three daughters, Karla Norr of Jamestown, Kelli Cassidy of Meadville and Cindy Dillon of Conneaut Lake; six grandchildren, Lisa Haibach, Jill Kightlinger, Misty Jackson, Jason Jackson, Mandy Talbot and Lance Dillon; three great grandchildren, Alex, Morgan and Stone; a sister, Janet Bennett of Fredericksburg, VA; a brother, Norman Matteson of Conneaut Lake and her dear companion, Dean Callender of Harmonsburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 10-11 a.m. at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, Inc., 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake with a Rebekah Lodge service Sunday at 6:45 p.m.
The funeral service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Rachel Johns, Pastor of Hartstown Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Interment will be in McMichael Cemetery, E. Fallowfield Twp., Crawford Co., PA
