Jean S. Rand

Jean S. Rand, 92, of Barefoot Bay, FL, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the Crawford County Care Center.

She was born November 6, 1926 in Meadville, a daughter of Virgil and Amanda Bloss Stanton.  She married Victor Paul Rand October 20, 1950 and he preceded her in death June 10, 2014.

Jean was a graduate of Meadville High School and Rochester Institute of Technology.  She was owner and operator with her husband of Stanton Rand Studio in Meadville from 1946 to 1987.

She was a member of Roseland United Methodist Church, Sebastian, FL and former member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ.  Jean was an active volunteer at the Sebastian River Medical Center, avid bridge player as well enjoying playing Texas hold’em and golf.

Survivors include nephews and nieces, Douglas Stanton of Conneaut Lake, Thomas Stanton of Meadville, Gary Stanton of Conneaut Lake, Randy Stanton of Meadville, Richard Yeager, Greg Yeager, and Sandy Shostek, all of Erie, and Nancy DeSantis of Harrisburg and numerous great-nephews and great-nieces.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert A. Stanton and a sister, Marianne Yeager.

Services are private.
