Jean Shafer, 57, wife of Howard Shafer, Woodcock Township, died Friday, April 13, 1979, at City Hospital after an illness of several months.
She was born at Guys Mills, January 2, 1922, a daughter of Paul and Hazel Franklin Seaman. She married Shafer January 2, 1922. She was a member of Woodcock Grange.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother of Cambridge Springs; four daughters, Mrs. James (Elsie) Andrzejczak of Girard, Mrs. Wendell (Doris) Sherred of Venango, Mrs. Lloyd (Marianne) Sheldon of Springfield and Miss Margie Shafer at home; four sons, Thomas of Meadville, David P. and John, both of Cambridge Springs and David E. (Shorty) at home; two brothers, Theodore Seaman of Meadville and Kenneth Seaman of Marion, OH and fourteen grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Watson Run Cemetery.
