Jeanine L. Kebort

October 19, 1932 — April 5, 2011

Jeannine L. Kebort, 78, of Meadville, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Meadville Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was born October 19, 1932 in Guys Mills, a daughter of George and Ila Poly Smith.  She married James A. Kebort June 4, 1955.

Jeannine was a 1951 graduate of the former Randolph High School.  She was employed as a sales clerk at Loeffler's Flower Shop for over 20 years.  She was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.

Active in local theatre for over 30 years, Jeannine was a member of the board of directors at the Academy Theatre where she had acted, directed and produced several performances.  She was a former board member of the Meadville Community Theatre and had acted, directed, and produced several performances there as well.

Survivors, in addition to her loving husband Jim of 55 years, include a son, Jeffrey J. Kebort and his wife Vonna of Paradise, TX; two daughters, Jeanne M. Gunn and her husband Michael of Meadville and Jill A. Shilling and her husband David of Hastings, MI; eight grandchildren, Stacie L., Erin N., Daniel J., and Joanne E. Kebort, Gregory R. Gunn, and Jeremy D., Jami L., and Dana M. Shilling; two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Luke Kebort; four sisters, Phyllis Tolan of Newville, Dorothy Brenoel and her husband Ray of Cochranton, Gladys McFadden of Altoona, Pat Massa and her husband John of Chambersburg; two brothers, George Smith and his wife Judy of Lindale, TX and Merle Smith and his wife Mary of White Oak; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Holtzhauser of Stuart, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Smith.

Calling hours are today (Friday) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville with a Scripture Prayer Service at 4:00 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Agatha Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville with Fr. Raymond Gramata as Celebrant.

Interment will be in St. Agatha Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Academy Theatre, 275 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA 16335.
