Jeanne Aurelia Mercier

Jeanne Aurelia Mercier, 68, of Conneaut Lake, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 11, 2023.

She was born March 14, 1954 in Meadville, a daughter of Victor J. and Jeanne A. Troyan Mercier.

Jeanne was a 1972 graduate of Saegertown High School.  She worked at GTI and Spectrum, then retired from MAJR Products in Saegertown.  She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, sewing, and was self-taught in sign language.

Jeanne was very faithful to her religion and was a member St. Bernadette Church in Saegertown and Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church in Conneaut Lake.

Survivors include two sisters, Michelle Mercier of Lake Norman, NC and Rita Getchell (Warren) of Cochranton.  She is also survived by her dear nieces, Aimee Farley (Kevin), Laina Aquiline (Matt), and Gretta Meeker (Nick); and nephew, Adin Hamilton (Ashlea).  Jeanne enjoyed camping and being with her friends.  She especially enjoyed being with her great nieces, Hiatt and Ella and great nephews, Michael, Mason, Evan, and Eric.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gary Joseph Mercier.

A celebration of Jeanne’s life will be held at a later date.
