Jeanne Marie Bole

Jeanne Marie Bole, 93, of Meadville, died Thursday, January 12, 2023, at the Crawford County Care Center.

She was born September 17, 1929, in St. Louis County, MO, a daughter of the late Clifford Amos and Martha L. Levick Swanlund.  She married John A. Bole December 27, 1950, and he preceded her in death November 1, 2009.

Jeanne received her B.A. in Education from Heidelberg College, Tiffin, OH.  A homemaker, she was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was a former Circle Leader.  Jeanne was also involved with Meadville Welcome Wagon, Community Bridge and Bowling groups, and former PTA President in Cedar Knolls, NJ.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Barbara A. Stewart (Richard) of Peachtree City, GA and Patricia J. Armstrong (Randy) of Meadville; a son, John A. Bole, Jr. of Charleston, SC; three grandchildren, R. Ryan, Shawn B., and Nathan P. Stewart, all of Peachtree City, GA; and a brother, Clifford Amos Swanlund, Jr. of Houston, TX.

Calling hour will be Thursday, January 19th from 10-11 a.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE where the funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ashley Babbitt, Chaplain of the Crawford County Care Center, officiating.

Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Road, Meadville, PA 16335.
