Jennie Pierson

Miss Jennie Pierson, 78, of Meadville, died Saturday, February 27, 1960, at the Flickinger Convalescent Home after a long illness.

Miss Pierson at one time had been employed by the late Mrs. Elizabeth Huidekoper Kidder at Hill Home, formerly located on the present site of the David Mead Inn.

She was born in Sweden, April 15, 1880, a daughter of Per A. and Caroline Farm Pierson.  She came to this country as a young girl and lived in the Jamestown, NY area until moving to Meadville about 30 years ago.  She was a member of First Baptist Church and of its Lydia Circle of the Women's Missionary Society.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Fred (Ida) Snyder of Meadville; a brother, Ernest E. Pierson of Los Angeles and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
