Jesse Amon of Jackson Center passed away from injuries sustained in a pickup truck accident on July 21, 2024. Jesse was 28 years old, born to Richard and Clarissa (Malady) Amon. Jesse was a 2014 graduate of Lakeview High School. Jesse attended Mercer County Career Center where he received his degree in diesel mechanics. He was currently employed at Christie Diesel in Clintonville where he enjoyed his job repairing diesel vehicles equipment. He worked for various trucking companies over the years as a diesel mechanic. He also worked on the derrick for Lasso Drilling as a roughneck in Texas. Jesse had a passion for farming and was always willing to lend a hand at Minor Acres and Pleasant View farms. He loved milking cows, being in the fields, and spending countless hours fixing equipment. In his younger years, Jesse showed livestock in the Mercer County 4-H program. Jesse was a well rounded young man with a devilish grin, riding bulls at the local and regional youth rodeos and Bullride Mania. He also could be found spending time hunting, fishing, line dancing, and hanging out with his friends. Jesse also loved riding any type of offroad vehicle he could get his hands on. From snowmobiling in the winter, to riding four wheelers or even racing motocross, Jesse loved being on the move. Some of his favorite times were camping at Benezette, Cooks Forest with family and friends. One of his recent endeavors made his friends and family very happy as he was smoking meat on the familys outdoor smoker that they had built for his brother, Aarons, graduation party. Jesse leaves behind his mother and father, as well as his brother Luke Amon of Jackson Center; and his brother Aaron (Sheena Sorg) Amon and their son Weston Amon of Fredonia. Grandparents William and Paula Malady Sr, of Sandy Lake. Uncles William Malady Jr., John (Marge) Amon, Jeff (Teresa) Amon, Sam Amon, Mike (Bev) Zimmer, Butch (Pat) Alexander, and Aunt Diane Amon. Jesse also leaves behind several cousins that were dear to his heart. Jesse was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Mary Amon, infant sibling RC Amon, Aunt Diane Malady as well as his good friend Cody Downs. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose And Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 3236 S Main St, Sandy Lake, Pa 16145, where visitation will be from 4 pm 8 pm on Tuesday, July 23. Additional calling hours will be held from 10-11am with a funeral service taking place on Wednesday, July 24, at 11 am with Pastor Ben Ziegler, officiating. Interment will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Center for Organ Recovery.
