Miss Jessie B. McFadden, 90, of United Methodist Home and Nursing Hospital since 1977, died at the home Sunday, July 8, 1984, after an extended illness.
She was born at New Richmond, January 3, 1894, a daughter of Albert and Florence Marvin McFadden.
Miss McFadden worked in the office of the former City Coal Co., and also had been employed for several years at Eldred's Variety Store. She had retired from her work in the sewing department of Talon, Inc.
She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church since 1915 where she had been a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was a 54 year member of Golden Crown Chapter 44, Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include three nieces, Mrs. Robert (Lena) Kightlinger of Meadville, Mrs. Leonard (Hazel) McLaughlin of Guys Mills and Mrs. Gerald (Zella) Young of Meadville; two nephews, Gene Euler of Eden, NY and Raymond McFadden of Venango.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Mrs. Lee (Mildred) Carr, Mrs. Benton (Wave) Terrill, Mrs. Charles (Mary) Schwaney, and Mrs. John (Fay) Euler; and one brother, Shelley McFadden.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
