Jo Ann D. Wasser

Jo Ann D. Wasser, 77, of 12001 Dawn Drive, Meadville, and a former Greenville resident, died Friday October 1, 2004, at Wesbury United Methodist Community.

She was born in Fayette City, September 28, 1927, a daughter of Charles S. & Sarah Renstrom Dent.  She was raised by Ralph & Sarah Dent Gierhart.  She married George G. Wasser July 13, 1949, and he survives.

She was a 1945 graduate of Charleroi High School, and a 1949 graduate of Madison College, now James Madison University, Harrisonburg, VA

She was a homemaker and a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.

She enjoyed golf, and several bridge clubs to which she belonged.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Greenville.

Survivors in addition to her husband of 55 years include 1 daughter, Susan Beatty and her husband Marshall of Conneaut Lake, 2 sons, George D. Wasser and his wife Susan of Stevensville, MT, and Ray C. Wasser and his wife Denise of Greenville, and 7 grandchildren, Dana Burke, Katie, Kelly, Kyla, Michael, Andrew & Matthew Wasser.

A visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Cribbs Home Library of Wesbury United Methodist Community, 31 N. Park Meadville, with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. in McCracken Chapel of Cribbs Home, Wesbury, with the Rev. Ellen Rezek, Wesbury Chaplain, officiating.

Burial will be in Shenango Valley Cemetery, Greenville.
