Jo C. Klingensmith, 76, of Meadville passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013 at the Meadville Medical Center.
She was born September 14, 1937 in Thelma, KY a daughter of Johnnie and Floretta Irene Harrington Childers. She married Robert L. Klingensmith October 5, 1974 and he survives.
She was a 1973 graduate of Pikeville University, Pikeville, KY with a Bachelors degree in Education. She was a high school English and psychology teacher for several years in Florida and Kentucky and then worked as a dental office manager in Springfield, VA for 7 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Meadville and a former member of the Florida Hospital Waterman Auxiliary, Eustis, FL. She enjoyed sewing.
Survivors, in addition to her husband Bob of 39 years, include: three children, Jeffrey Klingensmith and his wife Donna of Harrison, OH, Cheryl Matuszewski and her husband Walter of Fairborn, OH and John D. Williams and his wife Dianne of Lexington, SC; a daughter-in-law, June Klingensmith of Dayton, OH; a niece, Jolynn Dellinger of Durham, NC and eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Klingensmith and James R. Williams and a brother, John Childers.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
