JoAnn Davis, 69, of Meadville, died unexpectedly Monday, October 15, 2007 at her residence.
She was born in Battle Creek, MI January 27, 1938, a daughter of the late Noble Durham and Mildred Brown Mills.
She enjoyed watching movies, listening to country-western music, collecting American Indian memorabilia, and was a big hearted person who would help anyone.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Rhonda Obert and her husband Don of Linesville; Barbara Loiacona and her husband Nick of Meadville; and Deborah Kallam and her husband Alan of Reidsville, NC; 3 grandchildren, Duane and Bobbie Jo Lee and Samantha Matthews; a great-grandson, Carter Matthews; a half-brother, Arthur Mills and his wife Stephanie of Conneaut Lake; a half-sister, Sara Correa and her husband Pete of Dearborn, MI; and 3 nieces and 4 nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael L. Whitney and a half-brother, Edward Oberg.
Calling hours will be Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Philip Torre, Pastor of First Assembly of God Church officiating.
