Joanne Hagmann Myers

April 11, 1929 — August 19, 2003

Joanne Hagmann Myers, 74, of 18360 Conneaut Lake Rd., Meadville, died Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born in Erie April 11, 1929, a daughter of the late Harry and Rowena Locke Hagmann, Sr.  She married Harold C. Myers in 1972 and he preceded her in death in September 1987.

She was a graduate of Drexel University, Philadelphia.  She worked in the food service industry since 1947 and retired as a registered dietician from Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, Meadville in 1999 following 22 years of service.  She was a former member of the American Dietetic Assoc., PA Dietetic Assoc., and Northwest Dietetic Assoc.

She was a former member of Cascade United Methodist Church, Erie.

Survivors include a brother, Charles Hagmann of Ashville, NC; 2 sisters, Janice Lockwood of Dayton, OH and Mary Jane Campbell of Geyserville, CA; a brother-in-law, John F. De Arment of San Antonio, TX; and nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Hagmann, Jr. and a sister, Miriam De Arment.

A memorial service will be Friday, August 29, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. at Cribbs Chapel, Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville with the Rev. Gerald Murphy, retired United Methodist Clergyman officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 W. 8th St., Erie, PA 16505 or Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, Dietary Department, 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville, PA 16335.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA 16335.
