John A. (Jack) Crick, 73, of Meadville, died Tuesday, September 17, 1996 at Meadville Medical Center following a nine month illness. He was born October 21, 1922 in Avalon, Allegheny Co., a son of the late John A. and Esther Golden Crick. He married Margaret Davies July 3, 1943. She survives. He was a 1940 graduate of Avalon High School and 1955 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. He was a veteran of World War II with the US Army Air Corps. He worked at the PA Department of Environmental Resources for 27 years retiring in 1985 as a pollution specialist. He was a member of the Saegertown American Legion, West Mead #2 Volunteer Fire Department and the Meadville Club. He served on the United Way Board, was an organizer of Tri-State Food Share, and was on the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army. He was Treasurer of AFSME local chapter #8501, regional vice president of AFSME chapter #13, and was president of Crawford Co. Labor Council. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. In addition to his wife, survivors include three daughters, Lynne Crick of Pittsburgh, Amanda Crick of Albuquerque, NM and Beverly Sadler of Edinboro; one son, John A. Crick, Jr. of Meadville and two grandchildren. Services were held at Waid Funeral Home. Interment was in Highwood Cemetery, Pittsburgh. Services Past Services
