John A. Klinginsmith, 91, formerly of Conneaut Lake and a resident of Juniper Village, Meadville, passed away there Sunday, December 9, 2018.
He was born August 15, 1927 in Meadville, a son of Holly E. and Jennie M. Hood Klinginsmith. He married Effie Flint June 3, 1950 and she preceded him in death January 5, 1993.
John worked at Talon, Erie Railroad and Greenville Steel Car. He was a member of the Steamfitters Local 449.
A member of Trinity United Methodist Church where he enjoyed passing out candy to the children, John also enjoyed farming, coon hunting, being outdoors and wintering in Bradenton, FL.
Survivors include a sister, Dorthy Flynn of Oregon and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Mearl, Donald, Karl, Lloyd and Norman Klinginsmith and a sister, Ida M. Foust Seiple.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, December 12th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at WAID-COLEMAN FUNERAL HOME, 12422 CONNEAUT LAKE RD., CONNEAUT LAKE where the funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with the Revs. Russ Hixson and Dave Brumagin officiating.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
