John A. Ridle

February 24, 1939 — September 17, 1983

John A. Ridle, 44, of Meadville, died at Northgate Inn Saturday, September 17, 1983, after a sudden illness.

He was born at Meadville February 24, 1939, a son of Laurence and Margaret Drescher Ridle.  He married Judith E. Byham September 26, 1964.

He was retired US Navy fire control technician who was employed as director of maintenance at Cambridge Springs Presbyterian Home.  He previously had worked at McCrosky Tool.  Mr. Ridle was past president of Bricklayers, Masons and Plasterers International Union Local 87; a member and past monarch of Kismet Grotto; member of Masonic Lodge 408 and Taylor Hose VFD and was a former member of Meadville Market Authority.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Diane R. and two sons, Mark F. and Eric L., all at home; his parents of Meadville; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Charlotte Arnold of Meadville; three sisters, Marilyn Ridle of St. Petersburg, FL, Laureen Hehn of Hales Corners, WI and Mrs. Daniel (Holly) Locke of Guys Mills and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
