John B. Sabia

John B. Sabia, 78, a Meadville resident for 19 years, formerly of Dunmore, died at City Hospital after a sudden illness Thursday, June 9, 1977.

He was born at Dunmore, Lackawanna County, May 1, 1899, son of Donato Antonio and Catherine Lovallo Sabia.

Mr. Sabia retired in 1964 as a carman for the former Erie Railroad.  He was a member of First Presbyterian Church; Carmen's Union Local 1084; and a 50-year member and past commander of the Knights of Malta of Dunmore.

Survivors include two sisters, Miss Lucy Sabia of Meadville and Mrs. Mary Rosa of Stamford, CT and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
