John Blaine Raybuck

July 10, 1920 — June 3, 2000

John Blaine Raybuck, 79, formerly of Meadville, a resident of Eustis, FL, died at Lakeview Terrace, Altoona, FL, Saturday, June 3, 2000.

He was born July 10, 1920, in Sugar Hill, Jefferson County, PA, a son of Fred and Flora Bell Penfield Raybuck.  He married Sara Jane Spicher April 11, 1941, and she survives.

He had retired as a Foreman in the Forge Department of Channellock, Inc. after 44 years of service.  He was a 1937 graduate of Brockway High School, a member of the Meadville Management Club, Elks Lodge #219, a volunteer with the Meadville Community Food Pantry, a Red Cross volunteer and a Century Club Blood Donor, a member of West Mead #2 Volunteer Fire Department, had participated in the Hailwood Gold League and the Channellock Gold League.  He was a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Leadership Training course, the Penn State Management Seminar, and the Applied Management Science course of Minneapolis, MN.  In Florida, he was a member of the Eustis Shuffleboard Club and the Wedgewood Gold Club of Eustis.  He was also a licensed solo pilot.  He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Mary Ann Mazur (Richard) of Baden; a son, Dennis Alan Raybuck (Debra) of Meadville; a sister, Dorothy MacCleary of Brockway; a brother, Perry Wendell Raybuck (Dorothy) of Brockville; five grandchildren, Michelle Norton, Tracy Mazur, Amanda and Jonathan Raybuck and Elizabeth Boor and a great-granddaughter and also nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Dora Holt and a brother, Everett Raybuck.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
