John Herbert Bozic, Sr., 69, of Meadville, died Wednesday, October 28, 1970, at Meadville City Hospital. He was born February 3, 1901, at Braddock, a son of Charles and Frances Schalamon Bozic. He married Gertrude Ruth Curry on September 29, 1928.
Mr. Bozic was a graduate of Allegheny College (1923) and the University of Pittsburgh Law School (1926). He practiced law in Miami and was in the legal department of Westinghouse Electric Corp. until he opened his practice at Meadville on November 11, 1932.
He was active in the YMCA, Community Chest, United Fund and American Cancer Society. He was a member and very involved at the Stone Untied Methodist Church. He was a member of the Meadville Masonic Lodge #408, Meadville Kiwanis Club, the Taylor Hose Co., Masonic Consistory at Erie and Zem Zem Shrine Temple.
In addition to his widow and son, John H. Bozic, Jr., he is survived by five grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
