John C. Altman, Jr.

John C. Altman, Jr., 51, of Meadville, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born November 28, 1969 in Erie, a son of John C. and Rita J. Marchini Altman, Sr.  He married Louise Orris in September 2002.

John was a 1988 graduate of Ft. LeBoeuf High School.  He was employed as a chef at the Hearth Restaurant, Erie, for Star Homes, Erie, was a self-employed contractor of JR General Contractor, and was a flooring installer for John Lander Ceramic Tile, Erie and Glenn Peterson’s Floors and Furniture, Meadville.

John enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, cooking and especially attending his children’s sporting events.  He was an Eagle Scout.

Survivors, in addition to his wife Louise, include three children, Christopher John (C.J.) Conroe (Brynn) of Mercer, Renee Altman of Meadville, and Shane Altman of Meadville; his father, John C. Altman, Sr. (Diana) of West Virginia; a sister, Jennifer Altman of Erie; twin brothers, Scott Altman (Lori) of Butler and Brian Altman (Brendan) of Fairview, OH; nieces and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

A memorial service will be Saturday, May 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 828 N. Main St., Meadville where the wearing of masks is required.
