John C. Grabb, 18 of Sheakleyville, passed away on August 25, 2020 at UPMC Horizon in Greenville. John was born in New Castle on October 19, 2001 to Harry “Buster” and Lisa (Baum) Grabb. He was a high school graduate and had attended Greenville, Living Word Christian and Commodore Perry schools. John worked at Walmart in the Electronics Department and was excited to start a job with Verizon Wireless. He also planned on attending barber school. John was a member of the Sheakleyville Church of the Nazarene where he was very active and played on the Worship Team. He enjoyed going to church camp growing up and had taken a mission trip to Puerto Rico. He was a naturally gifted musician, playing the guitar, drums, piano, and was a vocalist. He had enjoyed playing basketball for Commodore Perry and Living Word Christian Schools. He had also been a cub scout and boy scout for troop #78 at Commodore Perry. Most of all, John loved spending time with his family, especially when they traveled to the beach. In addition to his parents Buster and Lisa, John is survived by his siblings, Amy Bailey and husband Michael of Springfield, VA, Anson Bilyeu and companion Heather of Brooklyn, IA, and Maia Nendza and husband Robert of League City, TX, nieces and nephews Quinn, Wesley, and Penelope McCurdy, Takoma, Avalonne, and Camrey Bilyeu, and Joseph and Benjamin Nendza, paternal grandmother, Clara Grabb of Greenville, maternal grandparents John Sr. and Beulah Baum of Walnut Bottom, PA, three aunts, Eilene Trump and husband Tom of Greenville, Jessica Reese and husband Frank of Oakville, PA, and Lori Radnor of Biglerville, PA, his beloved dog Miley and cat Tigger, as well as many dear friends. John was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Harry Grabb, and maternal uncle, John Baum Jr. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Home of Stoneboro, 99 Franklin Street, where family and friends are welcome from 4-7 pm on Friday, August 28. Due to recent health concerns, masks will be required during visitation.
