John C. Graham

July 2, 1889 — May 4, 1972

John C. Graham, 82, dean of Meadville's insurance agents with service spanning more than a half century, died Thursday, May 4, 1972, a City Hospital.

Mr. Graham had been the local representative for Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Co. for 51 years.

He was a charter member and a past president of Crawford County Life Underwriters.  During World War II, he was cited by the US Treasury Department for his efforts on behalf of War Bond sales.  He was active in Masonic organizations, being a member of Lodge 234.

He was born in Randolph Township, July 2, 1889, a son of William and Lola Baugher Graham.  He married Hazel E. Graham August 2, 1913.

He was a graduate of Guys Mills schools, and attended Allegheny College, Grove City College and Pennsylvania State.  He was a member of of United Church of Guys Mills.

Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Pauline) Waltenbaugh of Meadville; two grandchildren, Edward J. Waltenbaugh of Meadville and Mrs. Glenn (Betty) Hart of Grove City; and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
