John A. (Nick) Crabb

John A. (Nick) Crabb, 92, of Meadville, a former Talon employee, died Wednesday, June 5, 1991,at Meadville Medical Center following a short illness.

He was born in Charleroi September 17, 1898, a son of Elmer and Maggie Thompson Crabb.  He married Florence Miller October 5, 1931.  She preceded him in death October 10, 1986.

He was a machine operator from Talon, Inc. for 30 years, retiring in 1963.

He was a member of the State Road United Methodist Church, and a life member of West Mead Township Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include four daughters, Caroling Lundell (Donald) of Conneaut Lake, Shirley McGarry (William) of Winston Salem, NC, and Dianne Crabb of Pittsburgh; three sons, Eugene Crabb of Meadville, Buckley Crabb of Titusville and Mark Crabb of Guys Mills; a number of nieces and nephews; sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Raymond and John, Jr.; two sisters and four brothers.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
