John D. Frontz

September 24, 1924 — February 15, 2005

John D. Frontz, 80, of 22011 Blooming Valley Road, Meadville, died Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at Wesbury United Methodist Community following a period of declining health.

He was born September 24, 1924 in Meadville, a son of John Dell and Rose V. Lenhart Frontz.  He married Nancy L. Kebort April 21, 1945 and she survives.

He was a 1942 graduate of Meadville High School and was a veteran of World War II with the US Army.  He was also a graduate of Talon Inc. tool and die program and retired from there as Tool Room Supervisor.

He was a member of Stone United Methodist Church, a 56-year member of Masonic Lodge #408, 50-year member of New Castle Consistory, life member of Zem Zem Shrine Temple of Erie, Zem Zem Temple Legion of Honor, Kismet Grotto and past President of the Crawford County Shrine Club.

Survivors, in addition to his wife of 59 years, include: one son, David J. Frontz and his wife Genie of Columbia, SC; one daughter, Linda F. Creasap and her husband Mark of Spartanburg, SC; three grandchildren, Wendy Frontz, Brandon Creasap and Ryan Creasap; one brother, Richard Frontz and his wife Marilyn of Meadville; two nieces, Kathy Frontz of Meadville and Connie Clingerman and her husband Tom of Greensburg, PA and one nephew, Richard Frontz and his wife Cathy of Seven Fields, PA.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville with a Masonic service at 6:45 p.m.

The funeral service will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. William L. Brown, Assoc. Pastor of Stone United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505-5097.
