John D. Sonny

John D. Sonny, 79 of Reynolds, passed away on February 10, 2023 at UPMC Jameson Hospital of New Castle. John was born on May 14, 1943, at St. Joseph’s Hospital of Warren, OH, a son of the late Caroline Mathilda Seeman and John Sonny. For many years, Mr. Sonny worked as a Forklift Operator and Machinist at Liberty Steel in Masury, Ohio. He attended Brookfield Schools. An avid football fan, he enjoyed watching his favorite team; the Cleveland Browns. John also had great interests in NASCAR, and frequently attended the Yankee Lake Truck Nights in Brookfield. John was a member of the Matterhorn Club of Sharon, PA. Survivors left to cherish the memory of John are his daughters, Terry, Carmen, and Christina; step-daughter, Penny; sister, Elizabeth Ann (Chester) Taylor of Sharon; three brothers, Donald (Suzanne) Sonny of Sharpsville, Michael (Betty) Sonny of Morrow, OH, and Andrew (Missy) Sonny of St. Augustine, FL; and his five grandchildren. Preceding John in death are his parents, as well as his sister, Barbara Brenneman. To honor John’s wishes, services will be private.
