John Edward Dolan

John Edward Dolan, 73, of Meadville, died Tuesday, March 3, 1998, at Wesbury United Methodist Community, following a period of declining health.

He was born in Union Township, September 17, 1924, a son of the late John E. and Stella Griffith Dolan.  He married Jeanette Hassett, September 12, 1953.  She survives.

He retired in 1988 from Seco/Warwick as a mechanical fitter after 30 years of service.  He was a 1943 graduate of Meadville High School and was a veteran of World War II with the US Marine Corps. serving  in the South Pacific and China.  He also attended St. Paul's United Church of Christ.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Marcia Dolan of Meadville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
