John G. Schroeder

John G. Schroeder, of Meadville, died Monday, January 8, 1996, at Meadville Medical Center following a two year illness.

He was born in Dunmore, PA, a son of the late Fred and Kathryn Becker Schroeder.  He married Marjorie Berly, September 29, 1948.  She survives.

He retired in 1978 as a training supervisor from the personnel department at Talon after 45 years of service.  He was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, a graduate of Saegertown High School, Class of 1931 and a member of Talon Management Club.  He enjoyed watching the financial markets, reading and gardening.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include four brothers, Fred Schroeder of West Palm Beach, FL, George Schroeder of Meadville, Henry Schroeder of Hemet, CA and William Schroeder of Pleasantville, PA; and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Hickernell and Grace Toboz.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in St. Hippolyte Cemetery.
