John H. Rackley, 62, of Meadville, died Thursday, August 1, 1975, at City Hospital after a one-year illness.
Born at Buffalo, March 17, 1913, he was a son of John H. and Lena Deimer Rackley, Sr. He was married Gladys Ford Johnson. He and his wife moved to Meadville in 1971 when they took over operation of the Greyhound Bus Terminal here. Before that, he was employed as a driver for Greyhound on the Buffalo-Pittsburgh run. A member of the Assembly of God Church, he also was a member of Meadville Area Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to his widow, survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Carol Oddo of Tonawanda, NY; a stepdaughter, Mrs. John (Marilyn) Belknap, Blasdell, NY; a son, Gary J. Rackley of Cheektowaga, NY; two step-sons, Gary L. Johnson of Middleport, NY and Howard D. Johnson of Erie; a brother, Franklin Rackley of Cheektowaga and nineteen grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
