John J. Kellick

John J. Kellick, 58, of Meadville, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018.

He was born December 16, 1959 in Niagara Falls, NY, son of John Elliott (Jack) and F. deSales McKenna Kellick.

John graduated from Lewiston Porter High School in Youngstown, NY in 1978.  He received an Associates of Applied Science degree from Erie Community College in Williamsville, NY.  In 1981 he started Kellick Construction.  He also worked for Concept Construction in Elma, NY, Whipple-Allen in Erie and Builders Support & Supply in Saegertown.  In 2012, he acquired Frameworx General Contractors in Guys Mills.

John was a former volunteer fireman and EMT, member of the Meadville Western Crawford County Chamber of Commerce, and leader of the Dead Eye 4-H Club.  He was a member of the Meadville Zoning Hearing Board and New Beginnings Church of God.  John was a hunting enthusiast and enjoyed camping and canoeing with his children.

Survivors include his wife Marcy Leveto Kellick; two sons, Jesse and Jeremiah Kellick; two daughters, Faith and Elizabeth (Ellie) Kellick, all of Meadville; his mother, deSales Kellick of Kenmore, NY; three sisters, Mary Anne Desiderio (Jay) of Lancaster, NY, Teresa Lock (David) of Elma, NY, and Ruth Kellick-Grubbs (Greg) of Tryon, NC; and eight nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Calling hours will be Monday, January 29th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, January 30th at 10:00 a.m. at New Beginnings Church of God, 13226 Leslie Rd., Meadville with the Rev. Temple Jarrell, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
