John J. (Jack) Allio, 60, of Grove St., former supervisor in the spinning department of Avtex Fibers and well-known throughout northwestern Pennsylvania for his work in the Masonic fraternity, died Friday, November 21, 1980, at Hamot Medical Center, Erie, after an illness of one and one-half years.
He was born in Redclyffe, Forest County, a son of Rolla M. and Naomi King Allio. He married the former Doris Bryson on June 28, 1941.
He was a 1937 graduate of Sigel High School and served in the 112th Infantry of the National Gaurd from December 1937 to December 1940.
He was employed by Avtex Fibers for 43 years and was a former president of the Avtex Management Club.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and a former member of the church's administrative board. He was also a member of various social clubs including, the Masons, VFWs, VFDs and more.
Survivors include his wife; a son, John Terence Allio of Meadville; a daughter, Mrs. Robert J. (Rita) Bowser of Meadville; a sister, Mrs. Michael L. (Jayne) Rizzone of Dallas, TX; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and three grandchildren.
Service were held at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
