John L. (Jack) DeArment, 76, of Meadville, died at City Hospital Friday, November 19, 1976, after an illness of two months. Born in Hayfield Township on August 2, 1900, he was a son of Andrew J. and Tina Lankton DeArment. He married Adah Kiser. Mr. DeArment was employed as a storekeeper by Talon Division of Textron, Inc., before retiring in 1964. He was a member of Stone United Methodist Church; member and past master of Crawford Lodge 234; member of Solomon Royal Arch Chapter 191; member of Timothy Alden Council No. 60; member and past commander of Northwest Commandery No. 25; a 32nd degree Mason at New Castle Consistory; and a member of the American Association of Retired Persons. Survivors include his widow; a son, John A. of Bradenton, FL; two grandchildren, Mrs. Larry (Donna) Wilcox and John M. DeArment, both of Kenova, WV; and two great-grandchildren.
