John L. Haley, 81, a resident of the Methodist Home for the Aged for five years, died there Friday, August 28, 1970, after an illness of several weeks.
He was born in Hastings, Cambria County, September 1, 1888, a son of Nicholas W. and Alice Lewis Haley. He was married to Mary Kelley who died January 8, 1935.
Mr. Haley was employed as a trainman for 35 years by the Buffalo, Rochester and Pittsburgh Railroad and the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad.
He was a member of the Bradford First United Methodist Church and the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Mary M.) Calberg of Jamestown, NY and two grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Wildwood Cemetery, Salamanca, NY.
