John M. Wyant, 87, of Meadville, died Tuesday, July 23, 1974, at Mead Nursing Home where he had been a patient since February.
A son of David and Ada Patterson Wyant, he was born at Tylersburg, Clarion County, August 25, 1886. His wife the former Olive Blauser, died in 1963. He retired in 1957 as a freight conductor for the former Erie Railroad and was a member of Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen.
Survivors include three daughters, Miss Jane Wyant and Miss Jean Wyant of Meadville and Harry (Virginia) Headrick of Warren, OH; two sons, Martin K. Wyant of Erie and Jerry E. Wyant of Pittsburgh; a sister, Mrs. Forest (Ruth) Radaker of Luthersburg; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Cochranton Cemetery.
