John N. Alford

John N. Alford, 82, RD 2, Saegertown, died at Meadville Medical Center, on Thursday, February 15, 1990, after an illness of several months.

He was born in Woodcock Township on October 9, 1907, a son of Bert and Ivie May Alford.  He married Dorothy L. Dickson on June 19, 1934.  She preceded him in death in August of 1970.

He was retired in 1972 from Talon, Inc., after 34 years.  He was a member of Blooming Valley United Methodist Church.  He belonged to the Meadville Sportsman's Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Wykoff of Edinboro, and Martha Troutner of Blooming Valley; and one grandson.  He was preceded in death by a brother Alvah Alford.

Services were held at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Poole, pastor of Blooming Valley United Methodist Chruch, officiating.

Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
