John R. Doyle

John R. Doyle, 49, of Cleveland, died at Cleveland Veterans Administration Hospital, Tuesday, November 16, 1965, following a long illness.

He was born in Meadville, March 9, 1916, a son of Thomas and Katheryne Griggs Doyle.  He first wife was the former Virginia Liesy.  He married the former Edna Weaver in 1947.

Mr. Doyle had been employed for the past 14 years by Fisher Body Co. at Cleveland.  He previously was an employee of the Erie Railroad at Meadville.

He was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his widow; two daughters, Miss Patricia Doyle at home and Mrs. George (Nancy) Widec of Alaska; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Donley (Gula) Smith of Meadville; two sons, Daniel in Germany and John of Polk; his mother, of Meadville;  a sister, Mr. Warren T. (Kathryn) McQuaid of Erie; a brother, Thomas of Erie; and two grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
