John R. Jones

John R. Jones, 65, of Hartstown, died at home surrounded by his family, Wednesday, May 01, 2013.

He was born January 23, 1948 in Wilmington, DE a son of Bernard M. and Mary Magdalene Mulrooney Jones.

He worked as a line operator at Warren Industries and previously had worked for the Streets Department of the City of Meadville and as a manager at the Mead Inn in Meadville.  He was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan and loved spending time with his grandchildren.  He also enjoyed having a good beer with his friends at Micky’s.

He is survived by his fiancé, Carol Palmer of Hartstown; two daughters, Roberta Gruver and her husband William of Hartstown and Amanda Jones of Titusville and four grandchildren, Devin, Kirsten, William and Shelby.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melody Jones and a son, John Jones Jr.

The family will hold private services.
