John J. Roethlisberger, 94, formerly of Turtle Creek and current resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community, died there, Friday, November 10, 1995 following a brief illness.
Mr. Roethlisberger was born on November 2, 1901 in Braddock, PA to the late Albert and Sophia Dicker Roethlisberger. He was married to the former Daisy Griffith. She preceded him in death in 1972.
He retired as a tool designer from Westinghouse in East Pittsburgh and was also owner and operator of Pittsburgh Tool and Engineering Co. He was a member and elder of Hillcrest Presbyterian Church, Monroeville and a member of its Presbytery. In addition, he was a member of the Turtle Creek senior citizens.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Estella) Freeauf of Conneaut Lake and Mrs. Robert (Gloria) Cammack of Monroeville; one sister, Sophia Bauman of Turtle Creek; one grandson and one great-granddaughter.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Albert R. Roethlisberger and one sister, Ann Staub.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Allegheny Cemetery, Temple of Memories Mausoleum, Pittsburgh.
